THE IMPOSSIBLEWAVE
FERNANDO AGUERRE’S QUESTFOR OLYMPIC SURFING
ABOUT
When Fernando Aguerre began his long paddle to catch the Olympic Wave, the Impossible Wave, he knew he had an ocean to cross. Most people told him it could never happen. But Fernando takes dreams seriously. It took him over 12,000 hours of unpaid service to his surfing community to achieve that dream.
With resilient passion and colorful outfits, Fernando kept paddling for 27 years, to finally deliver the sport he loved to its ultimate stage.
“The Impossible Wave” tells the story of how an unorthodox leader dedicated his life to catch that impossible wave, and how an improbable sport made its successful debut in the Olympic Games.
